Information we collect
RadiologyScan is primarily an information website, and you can read it without giving us any personal information. We may collect:
- Information you give us — for example your name and email if you choose to send them to us.
- Technical and usage data — standard information your browser sends (such as IP address, device and browser type, pages visited), collected automatically by our hosting provider and any analytics we use, to keep the site secure and understand how it's used.
We do not ask for health information, and we ask that you do not send us personal medical details.
How we use information
- To respond to your enquiries and corrections.
- To operate, secure, maintain and improve the website.
- To understand, in aggregate, which content is useful.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies & analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used and which guides people find helpful. It sets cookies (such as _ga) that give your browser an anonymous identifier, and it records things like the pages you visit, your approximate location and your device and browser type. We do not use this data to identify you, and we do not use it for advertising.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site will still work normally.
Third parties
We use reputable third-party providers to host and run the site (our website host and content delivery network) and to measure traffic (Google Analytics). These providers process technical data on our behalf, and some of them may store or process it outside Australia. We may disclose information if required by law.
Access, correction & complaints
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or raise a privacy concern. If you have an unresolved privacy concern, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
